The Warnowtunnel team and eight eager helpers were well prepared on Friday morning, 6 December 2024, to bring joy to so many of the tunnel’s customers. Because St Nicholas’ Day is chocolate giveaway day!
Three thousand small, delicious Lindt Santas were already waiting for a new owner. Our popular event started at 08:15. We had also ordered good weather for the event – the weather forecast was not favourable at first, but then the rain held off for a few hours.
The sport clubs TG triZack Rostock e.V., SV 47 Rövershagen e.V. and the Rostock Bucaneros supported us with eight people. With so many helping hands, all lanes at the tunnel toll station could be covered. The sweet surprises quickly made their way into the warm interior of the cars. All the drivers accepted them gratefully and with a smile. Some were a little hesitant at first, but then accepted the chocolate from the friendly distributors. If not for themselves, then to give to others!
By 11.00 a.m., all three thousand gifts had already been distributed. We would like to thank the participating organisations for their support.
