We would like to inform all tunnel drivers that the planned replacement of the tunnel fans in the south tube of the Warnowtunnel will take place from 16 October 2023.
Through the second part of the modernisation (the equipment of the northern tunnel tube with the new devices already took place in November last year), we are pleased to be able to guarantee our tunnel users an even higher level of safety. The new tunnel fans are capable of removing smoke from the tunnel much more effectively in the event of a fire.
The measure is expected to be completed on 27.10.2023. During the two-week construction work, traffic from both directions will be routed through the north tube at reduced speed. The tunnel will remain usable throughout.
