It is a highlight for motorbike enthusiasts all around the globe: the Gentleman’s Ride. Last Sunday, the annual two-wheeled event took its route through the Warnowtunnel.
In this worldwide event, registered motorbike parades ride through popular cities and collect donations for a good cause – this year, the central theme is cancer prevention for men. Characteristics: all participants dress like “gentlemen” in suits and mainly old motorbikes are driven. It also takes the parades through cities like Los Angeles and London with hundreds of riders. In Rostock, 95 motorcyclists took part. The route led through the entire city area. From the city harbour, it went to the main train station, to Südstadt, to Reutershagen, through the Warnowtunnel and all the way to Warnemünde. The target donation was even exceeded.
